Le projetLa Forêt Retrouvée

The project that we wish to live with you is a challenge and a commitment for the future. We want to bring back to life areas that have become deserts and therefore disrupt all local life.

Our objective is to work on axes related to the biodiversity of Madagascar and its numerous endemic species. We wish to prove the interest of a reforestation and to boost the local economy which makes the villagers live around.

This project was created by Ange in 2019. Ange, having sadly left us prematurely in July 2022, it is his colleagues, his friends, his family, his darling and his relatives who have taken over the association so that the forest continues to rise from the ashes! !

Madagascar Mahajanga

Madagascar is the 5th largest island in the world. Detached from the African continent for about 120 million years, it has managed to preserve a most impressive endemic nature. Indeed, 80 to 90% of the plant and animal species present in Madagascar do not exist anywhere else.

Madagascar is one of the poorest countries in the world, with about 8 out of 10 people living below the poverty line.

Our situation

We are located a few kilometers from the Akarafantsika National Park known for its lakes and for being one of the last refuges of endemic species. The land is also located in an area decreed as protected and priority in terms of need for reforestation.

Under the appearance of a gentle life, the inhabitants of Majunga live, in reality, in a harsh precariousness. This small town, the first destination for national tourism, has all the assets to look like paradise. Located 550 km from Tana, the capital of Madagascar, it is connected by the national road 4 as well as by air routes.
